It looks like you got to dry the ones that were wrapped in banana leaf. They also exist without them but I prefer when they're wrapped at banh mi shops. Growing up in the San Jose area, my mom used to always buy them from the aunties making them out of their homes (similar to tamales). These days, I order them from IG. 😅
